Here are several stylish home trends and designs to add a splash of colour:

  1. Love party bedding by Desigual brings fashionable style to the bedroom. This European design, in soft cotton, is a colourful mix of shapes, typography patterns and prints. If your budget cannot stretch to the full set, use a plain white duvet with the Love Party pillowcases or cushions as they are sold separately at Amara Living.
  2. This statement tunnel gloss orange floor lamp from Heals features a bold, tunnel shade design which mirrors the colour and form of the floor lamp’s base. The minimal styling contrasts perfectly with the striking orange colour to create a beautiful contemporary floor light. The lamp head can easily be angled to the required position.
  3. This series 7 – 3107 iconic pressure-moulded chair in ash orange from The Conran shop, will look stylish in any home. It is a direct descent from the Danish design label, Fritz Hansen’s experiments in steam-bending wood, which began in 1915.

Originally designed in 1958, by Arne Jacobsen one of the most important and successful contributors to modern Danish architecture and design history.

For a little bit of chair history, the famous 1963 photograph by Lewis Morley of Profumo scandal showgirl Christine Keeler sitting naked on a Jacobsen chair has often been assumed a source of the design’s celebrity but the prop was a complete fake.

  4. These simple Nordic style nomess COPENHAGEN Momaboxes  made in a gorgeously colourful orange acrylic will bring order and control to your home or office. These storage boxes can be used to store anything from herbs, teas, jewellery to paper, and have the added benefit of being clear so that it is easy to see what’s inside. Available from John Lewis.
  5. This gentle foaming hand wash from Orla Kiely is enriched with violet leaf extract, known for its antibacterial properties, and nourishing pro-vitamin B5 to leave your hands feeling thoroughly cleansed. Orla Kiely’s Geranium Hand Wash contains a blend of 10 essential oils, including geranium, eucalyptus, lavender and clary sage, to help relax and refresh your mind and body as it cleanses. Formulated without parabens, sulphates, petrochemicals and artificial colourings.
  6. Add a splash of colour to a room with this bold orange coloured, small round photo frame by Desigual from Amara Living.  The frame  features a pretty pattern with colourful details, and is the perfect way to display a favourite photograph.
