Primos Gourmet Hot Dogs

I was in Leeds the other day with my husband visiting one of my event styling clients and we decided to check out the nearby historical Corn Exchange because I had heard good reports about its range of shops and restaurants.

We found a fabulous little cafe there called Primo’s and I was so taken with it that I just had to share it with you. Primo’s serves the most fabulous gourmet hot dogs and sandwiches.

Their feshly ground coffee is devine and is an award winning bespoke blend of Arabica coffee beans ground to perfection for a great flavour.

If you are not a coffee fan there are milk shakes and smoothies with some very  interesting ingredients.

The surroundings are very relaxed, and you can eat inside or outside plus there is a great sauce station for all your condiments.

Their hot dog sausages are specially sourced via their butcher from small scottish farms and where possible they use natural ingredients, and you really can tell.  Each sausage is carefully cooked and wrapped in freshly baked bread from their artisan bakery supplier.  You have a great choice, with six types of sausage to choose from, with some great toppings. Indulge in a Boston style dog which is a Bratwurst sausage covered in Monterey Jack cheese, BBQ sauce and scattered with bacon bits, or a Big Easy, consisting of a Lincolnshire pork sausage topped with crumbled blue cheese, crispy bacon and pine nuts. They even have a tofu veggie dog!

If you are not a hot dog lover then they also have a great range of salads, bagels and unique Cubanos pressed sandwiches with some fabulous fillings as well as a Primo’s breakfast which is available until midday.

If it is just coffee and cake you are after there is a wide selection of cupcakes, muffins, traybakes and much more.

Tuesday and Thursday seems to have some great special offeres and students get a 10% discount.

If you are in Leeds city centre then go check it out – you won’t be disappointed.
